dc.description.abstract The aim of this study is to consider the presence of minority communities in Kosovo in the media, as well as other specifics related to: laws, professionalism, lack of resources, politicization and others. In Kosovo there are a large number of laws regulating the position of minority communities, but in practice the situation is at variance with the prescribed laws. For this reason, we decided to investigate the presence of minorities in the media, to identify the problems faced by minority communities and give recommendations for a solution. In addition, we investigated the extent to which the media inform your community. Minority media in Kosovo are passive, very little attention devoted to identifying problems of members of their community, and they focus on the promotion of culture. One of the conclusions was that the public service operates in the direction of disintegration and not in the direction of integration of minority communities and social cohesion. In much of the reporting in the public service is present ethnocentrism instead of civil society and professional image standards are very low en_US
