With the emergence of a multi party system in Kosovo, the Kosovo politics respectively the parties or political personalities take different orientations and the creation of such a project helps in estimating the perception of public opinion about these orientations.
The political barometer aims to be the picture and guidance of public opinion with regard to the policy and current events in the country.
A long-term realization of the project raises the awareness and the level of the political leadership and arouses the public interest to judge the political topicalities in the country.
This work includes a selection of the Political Barometer whereas the full results can be subscribed at the Center for Public Opinion Research.

authors and basic texts
The aim of the text Kosova: meta-textual literature is the literary criticism conducted in Kosova, as part of the Albanian literary criticism and, further, the Albanian literature in general.
Therefore, the environmental determination “Kosova” does not intend to affect the status of the Albanian literature, as it forms, by stressing the common features, as much as the specifics of its development.
As already known, the context in which literary criticism was developed in Kosova, especially during the second half of XX century, is different from context of this literature in Albania, although by the end of the 60s it remained associated with, however to a moderate extent. Its textualtiy, meanwhile, affects the types, forms and methods, as well as different genres of discourses. It recognizes the academic criticism, the criticism of writers, and the critical project, as forms of criticism.
Our research here recognizes and seeks models and representative authors, meaning a number of texts and authors.

Notion, Classification and Procedures on Collection, Preservation and Transportation of Traces Caused by Explosion
Korajlić, Nedžad

Trace materials
scene
evidences and forensic laboratory
Trace materials located at the scene of explosion are one of the most critical zones during investigations. Therefore, it is not a rare occasion that some of very important trace materials and facts found affect the end result of the case at the court in an essential way. For these reasons, with the development of scientific aspects of forensic sciences, more attention is to be given to the discovery and preservation of the integrity of the evidence which are to be studied later by the subject matter experts in the criminalistic laboratories. One of the most mistaken approaches to this issue, which is related with the modern apprehension of the forensic science, is that this field is sometimes tied with the work of criminal laboratory’s technicians only, which in reality presents a major mistake. It is a fact that the skills of a laboratory technician to provide justifications on scientific basis are largely dependent from the observation, collection and evidence recording at the scene of a criminal event, because the criminalists located at the scene is to the same extent part of the forensic science, also as experts in the laboratory. If trace materials are not managed properly, the work of the criminalistic laboratory can be questioned to a great extent. This is one more reason that requires attention, both at the scene and at the entire routing until the trace material obtains a judiciary epilogue.

General Assembly of the United Nations
Now, one year following the declaration of independence of the Republic of Kosovo from Serbia, on February 17th, 2008, the institutions of Kosovo have before them, the great challenge of promoting ever greater recognition from international society.
In the near future, the independence of Kosovo will also be subject to a legal evaluation from the International Court of Justice.2 Within the framework of a request for a consultative opinion, directed by the General Assembly based on article 96 of the Charter of the Organization of the United Nations, with Serbia’s initiative, the International Court of Justice was called upon to respond to the question of whether “the unilateral declaration of the independence of Kosovo from the provisional institutions of self-governance of Kosovo is in accordance with international law?”

The article discusses the theories of the concept of conflict prevention. Kosovo political elites should, if they really want to stabilize the new country, take findings and recommendations of the theory of conflict prevention into consideration, and then find their own way (practice) how to address the problems, related to conflict prevention arising from political, social, economic and cultural sphere. Afterwards, the decisionmakers and high officials have to model their own specific strategies and policies of conflict prevention in order to reduce possibilities of new escalation of violence. The article discusses some historical and modern explanations of origins of violence and the relation between them and conflict prevention. The article also explains the development of the concept of modern conflict prevention, beginning in the framework of the United Nations in 1960’s and culminating in comprehensive approach of conflict prevention in the European Union and some other international organizations. Difference between structural and operation conflict prevention is explained in last part of the article, with argumentation the structural conflict prevention is necessity for Kosovo as a newly emerged political entity in the Western Balkans.

prediction of results
About 192 male students at age of 17 were involved in the research work. The model was created by means of 12 anthropometric variables and 14 variables of motoric abilities. As it was proved by statistic analyses that there is a normal relation in all tests then just the relation between these both areas was presented by using the method of correlation and regressive analysis. On the basis of this method it was possible to prove that the system of the anthropometric variables is a good predictor for the most basic motoric variables as a whole, but also by means of some separated anthropometric variables a quite exact result of some movements testes can be predicted. Herewith it was possible to prove that even it is a model of students and that can be classified as a non selected model, the result however which has been reached is evident when considering the morphological characteristics of the tested movement exercises

Structural characteristics of Kosova’s economy
Reçica, Fetah
Kosova’s economy
economic development
natural and human resources
investments
privatization
statistical data
An important role for the economic development of the country plays the adjusting of structural changes as well as the opportunities and conditions of development based on market demand for products and services delivered.
Development of industry and natural resources are of special importance in this regard. The industry contributes the most to economic growth and division of labor.
It creates opportunities for the reconstruction and promotion of other economic sectors as agriculture, communications, trade and others. The influence of industry in the transformation of economic and social structure of the country is high or low, depending on the level of overall economic development of the country.
Kosova’s economy after the war has been facing major challenges as a result of poor management for a whole decade and of a devastating war. However, Kosova successfully passed the phase of reconstruction, which was very difficult.
The beginning of privatization, dynamic development of the private sector of small and medium sized enterprises, with particular emphasis on the manufacturing sector, the first initiatives of the integration process of the economy of the region through signing the agreement of free trade, involvement in the Stability Pact as a non equal member, are only the first steps of the long and heavy processes towards the development of market economy and integration into regional and international institutions.
In the postwar period, Kosova’s economy was a consumer economy and its needs were largely met through the import by using “cash” as means of payment due to the lack of organized financial institutions.
The economic structure of a country, regarding economic development, represents more than any other indicator the directions and reality of development. Therefore, it is treated as a current generator at any time and in any modern society.

Energy is an important aspect of buildings. It is stored in construction materials and required for lighting and electrical installations, as well as used for heating and cooling. The amount of energy required for all buildings can be reduced. The aim of this work was to present actions to be taken for the reduction of energy use in buildings. These actions are based on suitable architectural design, controlled ventilation and good quality thermal-insulation envelopes, i.e. optimal insulation thickness, eliminating thermal bridges and providing air tightness. The need of buildings for fossil-fuel sources can potentially be reduced by 90% in consideration of the above factors

Decoration from the house snake cult belief system, as evidenced in Kosovan vernacular architecture
Doli, Flamur
snake cult
symbolic decoration
protective house gods
popular belief
Illyrian mythology
realistic figurative and abstract representations of the snake
the sun cult
This study investigates symbolic decoration arising from the house snake cult belief system, as evidenced in Kosovo’s vernacular (popular) architecture. This snake cult certainly has its place among the most unusual and important cults within the survival of the belief system surrounding the protecting house gods in Albanian popular belief.
Among the issues raised in this study, it is posited from the very beginning that because of their character and their symbolism, the decoration arising from the snake cult has always been applied in the most exposed places or elements of composition since its use had a magic function of protection and bringing good luck. Furthermore, the use of this ornamentation, particularly in the artistic form of bas-relief, is notable for a compositional structure which is in organic harmony with the architectonic and structural aesthetic concept of vernacular building, or its structural elements.
To give as full a picture and as much evidence as possible of the use of decoration from the earth cult of the snake either as abstract geometric interpretation of it as a symbol, or as a realistic artistic interpretation, there is analysis of a fair number and range of Albanian ethnographic sites where this decoration is to be found.
From the beginning of this study, it is shown that the snake cult is a part of the complex ethno-cultural heritage of our people. Taking a diachronic view, this cult has an uninterrupted history through the arc of time from the Illyrians to the Albanians of our own time.
