This article deals with activities to develop listening language skills in a context of authentic learning in the subject of English language in Kosovo schools. Looking into this issue we studied the relevant literature, used results of the visitations of English and Albanian language classes in 30 schools in Kosovo, and results of a questionnaire administered with 229 teachers of English language in ten Kosovo schools. Good practices observed during the visits organized in five American schools during the winter of 2015 have also been taken in consideration. The aim of the article, based on the findings of the quantitative and qualitative research in some 30 Albanian schools, is to identify and suggest learning activities in the classrooms that would help improve the development of student listening skills in the subject of English language. The suggestions can be generalized and used by teachers of the Albanian language as well. Within the integrated learning approach and the competence based curriculum framework which is being applied recently in Kosovo, the strategies suggested in this article can be used for the curriculum area of languages and communication.

The object of this treatise is a comparison between Gorgias and Socrates views on rhetoric, namely the truth in rhetoric.
The two prominent scholars of Greek antiquity, Gorgias as an expert on rhetoric and Socrates as a well-known philosopher, have attempted to examine the basics of rhetoric. Democracy has made rhetoric a high value of ancient Greek society, as well as an approach to enunciate, review and argue in public on various issues. As a tool of public communication, addressed to the attendees to convince them regarding an issue submitted for discussion and to fulfill its mission in the best to society, rhetoric should have support in the truth. This is the point at which both ancient scholars agree. But the issue is seen from a different point of view, and both defending their own views bring arguments and counter-arguments, which are worth even today.
The purpose of this paper is that, through confrontational approach and interpretation, to set diverse views and to reach a conclusion on the truth in rhetoric.

This paper intends to analyze subjective measurements of intelligibility of speech in Albanian language during the conversation between two people using applications which today is very used for communication such as Skype and Viber
Intelligibility of speech has to do with the clarity of speech that is heard, meaning of the entry of the system we have words without meaning while to the exit we mark what is heard. Speech intelligibility represents the percentage of correctly recognized words to the number of words uttered at the entrance. The measurement is done as follows: on the entry part of the transmission system sentences or words are spoken or just syllables while on receiving part is recorded what is heard; the percentage of words, sentences or syllables correctly received, on proportion to those imposed on the entry of the system, provides the percentage of intelligibility (the words, sentences or syllables).
A concrete example of why is needed digitalization of the Albanian language and why should we design models and algorithms for this is the case of Google Search by Voice, where even if you speak a word that is not clear in English language, the system finds the closest potential word and generates it.
Methods of measurements are made at different speed of the Internet, in an environment without noise and with noise, in order to see the impact on understanding of the speech with different target parameters.

In the Balkans, European countries and the rest of the world fought fierce battles over who will control the gas pipelines, which means not only financial benefits but also powerful geopolitical positions of the countries.
After the failure of two major Balkan gas pipelines – the project “South Stream” and “Nabucco”, the project TAP (Trans-Adriatic Pipelines) definitely won the battle, becoming the largest gas project in the Balkans in the last 100 years. This project will turn Albania into a very important energy artery in Europe. This will significantly affect the dynamics of the economic development of Albania, creating over 15 thousand new jobs with the pipeline in the next five years and over a billion euros will be gained from tax transition in the next 20 years.
TAP Project is currently predicted to have two branches of its own. The first one is the branch tube which will be connected to the main TAP pipeline in Greece and will continue through Bulgaria (180 kilometers long), and is also expected to continue through Romania and Hungary towards Central Europe. The other branch, the so-called – IAP (Ionian-Adriatic Pipeline), will supply Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, while an additional branch of it will pass through Macedonia and Kosovo.
There is no dilemma that this project will be very important not only for the development of the region, but also for its stabilization and integration.
